Instagram Users Can Now slide to zoom, double-tap to switch camera in video mode.

Finally, Instagram decided to pick up the bar by adding two new amazing features to the camera button. Some would say the new features is alot similar to that of Snapchat's, but Instagram managed to scoop it and add a little difference.

Unlike snapchat's, the user have to hold and press the camera button to record a video. The latest feature Instagram added is the ability to zoom by swiping the finger up and down while recording a video. Instagram's pattern is much simple and easier to use because, sliding your finger up and down to 'zoom in' makes it smooth and classic.

Another feature added is double tapping on the viewfinder to switch between front and back camera, this works perfectly while recording a video, and the app flawlessly switches between the feed from the front and back camera.

As seen from the pic above, Instagram also did alot of bug fixing and performance improvements to make stories load faster.
