Is your Phone Running slow?? Speed up your phone with these Simple tricks

Did your phone started running slow? Or did you notice a rapid decrease on how fast your apps starts and closes? This is due to some slight decrement on your phone storage. This will happen if we keep installing unnecessary apps and launchers, if you are facing this problem with your device, carefully follow my procedure below to restore your phone back to its normal state.

1. FIGURE OUT THE PROBLEM
The first thing to do when you notice your phone has started running slow is to check the recent app installed or file received or downloaded online. Once you identify the problem, I advice you to download Trepn Profiler by Qualcomm which will show the actual CPU load for individual cores, and also an overview of network traffic for both data and Wi-Fi, your GPU loads and RAM usage and lots more.

DOWNLOAD TREPN PROFILER

Trepn is also capable of of creating specific profile for apps and other system-wide programs which will contain different type of method for displaying accumulated data from your device. You can upload your accumulated data for online viewing and also have a performance report on running apps. Once you are able to pin point the specific issue, you can now move on to the following steps listed below:

2. CLEAR UP SOME SPACE
I know many of us like installing random apps for fun, but the truth is, these apps are not just eating up your ram storage, but also creating random folders in your device storage ,some of these folders might be visible were some are not. So it's time to start uninstalling unnecessary apps.

Secondly, Almost everybody love taking pictures with their phone on a daily basis, if you are the type that take 10 to 20 pictures a day, your device storage will start to reduce rapidly because what some of us don't know is that each picture taken always has a random cache file which is sometimes 50-100kb in size depending on the size of the picture taken. So make sure you clear your device cache folder to free up some space.

Thirdly, If you are the type that love installing launchers or third party keyboards, its time to uninstall them, because these launcher's and keyboards will not actually disable your default launcher and keyboard. This will consume twice the normal RAM usage of your phone, which will make your device run very slow.

You can also free up some space by deleting unwanted folders from your device storage menu, you might be surprised to see some of these folders with 1GB of storage size filled with junk files. You can find files like this in folders like thumbnails. This folder usually contains cache file from downloaded movies, pictures and mp3 files.
This folder sometimes contain 15-20,000 junk files, which when deleted will free up alot of space. Kindly locate this folder and delete it,. Do not panic when you see the folder reappear after deleted, its a random folder embedded in your device. Just delete the files once ita full.

You can also choose to uninstall pre-installed app, but this is only applicable to Rooted android devices. Or you can go to the app properties and disable them

3. REDUCE NUMBER OF WIDGETS
Almost every android come with a handful of widgets on the home screen. These widgets serve as shortcut to most-used features on our phone. Sometimes you will see widgets like Data switch, Flashlight, Wifi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode. These are the most important widgets you should have on your home screen.

If you happen to come across widgets like Shortcut to a specific App or browser, its time to get rid of them, because some launchers also come with pre installed widgets which will slow downdown and freeze your device. kindly disable any unwanted widgets from your phone setting.

4. REDUCE MULTITASKING
Many people enjoy multi-tasking because it enable one to switch from one app to another without exiting or closing them. This is one of the features that makes our phones "Smart". What most people don't know is that multitasking is the number feature that eat up your RAM storage, because the more you open and minimize one app from another the more your RAM storage decreases. This is one of the key features that make any smartphone run very slow.

To free up RAM storage, tap on the round button you see at the bottom when you minimize an app. This will free up your RAM storage and restore your device back to its optimum state

5. RESTART YOUR PHONE
This is one of the easiest way to optimize your phone. This is applicable especially when your device begin to overheat and starts running slow. The best and quick way to restore your phone back its normal state is press the  restart button.

6. KEEP A LOOK OUT
After executing the procedure listed above, it's now your duty to keep an eye on your phone. But if your phone has huge RAM storage like 3 to 4GB it shouldn't be a problem, but still, you have to be cautious of the apps and launchers you install on your phone, because most of them can do more harm than good.

If you have any question or suggestion, feel free to drop it in the comments box below. We will get back to you Asap!
